Privacy Policy

SoberTimes ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile application for iOS that helps people in recovery track sobriety streaks, log daily check-ins, and access coping tools. Your recovery is personal, and your data should be too. We've designed SoberTimes to keep as much of your information on your device as possible.

• Name (optional) — used only to personalize the app experience.
• Sobriety start date — used to calculate your streaks, milestones, and progress.
• Daily check-in data — mood, cravings, sleep, triggers, and any notes you write.
• Notification preferences — the times and types of reminders you choose to receive.
• Apple identity token — if you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive an anonymized identifier so we can sync your data across your devices. We do not receive your email or full name unless you explicitly share them.

We do not collect device location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or any third-party analytics data.

Your data is used exclusively to power your recovery features inside SoberTimes — tracking streaks, surfacing patterns in your check-ins, and tailoring coping tools like breathing exercises, grounding, and urge surfing to your needs.

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share your data with advertisers.
• We do not use your data to train external AI models.

SoberTimes is local-first. By default, your sobriety date, check-ins, and notes are stored on your device. If you enable cloud sync via Sign in with Apple, your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored on a secure backend using industry-standard encryption at rest.

We authenticate accounts using Apple identity tokens only — we never store passwords.

You are always in control of your data. From within the app you can:

• Access and review every check-in you've logged.
• Export your data as a portable file at any time.
• Permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data with a single tap in Settings.

SoberTimes is intended for adults aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
