Privacy Policy

Gift Wizard ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile application for iOS that helps you track gift recipients, important dates, and thoughtful gift ideas. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Gift Wizard iOS app.

• Apple ID identity — when you Sign in with Apple, we receive an anonymized user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and a private relay email address.
• Recipient profiles — names, relationships, occasions, and notes you record about the people you give gifts to.
• Gift history — gifts you've given, planned, or saved as ideas, along with reactions and amounts you choose to log.
• Notification preferences — the lead-time reminders and milestone alerts you opt in to receive.
• Subscription status — whether you have an active Gift Wizard premium subscription, as reported by Apple. We do not see or store your payment details.

We do not collect device location, photos, or third-party advertising identifiers. Gift Wizard does not access your iOS Contacts unless you explicitly import a person.

Your recipient profiles, gift history, and notes live on your device by default. If you enable iCloud sync, this data is synchronized across your Apple devices using your private iCloud account — we cannot read it. We never sell, share, or mine your gift data.

Gift Wizard uses AI to pre-stage thoughtful gift ideas based on context you provide about a recipient. When you use this feature:

• Prompts sent to our AI provider are anonymized and stripped of identifying information.
• No Apple user identifier, real name, or email is included in AI requests.
• AI providers process requests under contractual data-protection obligations and are not permitted to use your data to train their models.

We use the information described above solely to operate Gift Wizard — remembering the people and occasions you care about, generating gift ideas, sending the reminders you opt in to, and unlocking premium features.

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not share your data with advertisers.
• We do not use your data to train external AI models.

Push notifications are entirely opt-in. You can grant or revoke notification permission at any time from iOS Settings → Notifications → Gift Wizard, or by toggling notification categories inside the app.

Gift Wizard premium subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles all payment information. Gift Wizard receives only your subscription status (active, expired, or in a trial period) so we can unlock premium features.

Your recipient and gift data is retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data, including the rights to access, correct, delete, and export your data, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal data — which we do not do regardless. Gift Wizard is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
